So I’ve been working with these cool “Yogies” lately. Its been cool designing something completely out of my realm. I’ve designed their website, which should be live in the next couple of weeks, as well as an awning (about – not finalized), and redesigned their logo. I guess the biggest challenge out of all of this was doing the logo. For me its so hard to take what someone has done, try to keep parts of it, and redo it. From now on I’m probably just going to tell people I’ll redo the whole logo instead of “tweak” it.

Worked on this for 20 minutes or so. Can’t wait for Rob to get back so I can bring this to life and have a portfolio site with our recent website projects on it.

So this project has been a long time in the making. Everytime I sat down to get things going with Rob’s Logo something else came up. I really like the way this turned out…but i’m sure it’ll change over the next couple of days. Add a couple tweaks here and there. He wanted me to do this shield based logo for him but this kinda just happened…hopefully you dig it Rob…if not…I have to find the Zelda in me and make another shield.

So my friend Rob Granholm and I have been working on a good amount of stuff together lately. Its been a good relationship so far so we decided to set up a site where you can view our web portfolio.

We named our design gig “The 245.” By coincedence we both live at addresses with “245.” So it seemed fitting. Just got done the logo today. Check it out. Site should be up pretty soon with our portfolio.

So I’m going to get x-rays on my neck tomorrow. I’m pretty nervous about it. I hurt myself last week at the gym…doing who knows what and 2 days later I wake up and can’t move my neck. I tried to tough it out but the pain is becoming unbearable. In the mornings my right arm is all numb and it feels like someone is shoving a needle in my spine. But it’s odd that towards the end of the day it feels alright. Who knows, but I can’t mess around with nerves and stuff. Too many things could go wrong I guess

This couldn’t of happened at a worse time. I have a ton of design work to do and sitting at the computer is becoming more difficult. I hope everything is okay and it’ll just heal in time. Being 24 and having spine/cervical problems is something I don’t think I’d ever have. For those of you that pray…shout one out. For those of you that don’t…bring me pain killers or give me a massage please!

Today is a great day!!!

Not only is it the first day of summer but it is also my Fiancee Sandra’s birthday. She turns the big 2-5 today!!! I love this girl so much and can not wait for that fiancee visa to come through so we can be together.

Sandra…you mean the world to me! I cannot wait to see you again and can’t wait to spend my life with you knowing that you will always be older than me….HA!!!

I’ve been working with this amazing lady Tonia Betancourt. I met her working at Kaya’s and low and behold she was interested in getting some stuff done. Tonia is a therapist and also does this really cool form of therapy called Play Therapy. I’ve never seen or heard of anything like it until I met her…and I kinda wish that when my parents got divorced I could have played instead of listening to some dood ramble on for hours like I had to.

Here’s some of the more recent revisions of the logos I’ve been working on for her. I think we’re getting pretty close to where she wants to be.

So I’ve been working with this company called American Televox. Really cool guys, they definetely have their stuff together and designing for them has been a nice breath of fresh air. Its cool to work with people that don’t take 2-3 weeks to get back to you about a simple revision you made. I guess it helps that they have their iphone’s attached to their hips though

Here’s The Business cards I just finished for them…and hey…remind me to not talk to my gorgeous fiancee when I’m working on things like this with 2342342 layers to the photoshop file. I get too distracted by her beauty and after flattening and closing out an image there’s no turning back. Lesson learned….

So…Over the past 2 days I’ve been working on a site for the “Lance Gregson 1-Eye Cycling and Picnic Event.” This project has been totally rad! I grew up in the town its taking place in, and have worked with Lance in the past. It’s a shame he left us all so soon, but its so great that this event is in his memory. I wish them all the best and hope that this website can be a nice tool to help them get started.

Things have been going amazingly lately. Got some sweet design gigs which i’m all pretty excited about and before I know it my gal will be over from Austria, and I’ll be one step closer to finishing my degree. I haven’t really updated my blog in forever…which probably doesn’t matter because I think this is just a way to talk to myself, but decided that tonight would be a decent night to do so…here’s a cool pic and i’ll let you go.
