Above is the very early stages of an illustration I’ve been working on. The top image was the first stage and below that is what I’m running with now…I think.
We were to Illustrate our version of a Tooth Fairy. I have no idea how and when it got so evil looking, but nonetheless I went with it.

Above is the new Kaya’s menu I whipped up over the span of 6 hours. I wish I had another day to sit down and rework some things with it but overall I like the way it turned out. Next time they change the menu I will probably add a little more flare.

Here’s a design I did for a friend. Its just for the back of a tshirt made for an “all county” music day. Wanted to just do a type treatment on this. Leave the stupid music cliches out for now. She loved the work…should be printed soon.

Its been forever since I’ve updated this. And I feel like the last 3 entries I’ve done start off with something like that. Well…I’ve been busy. School work, job, and oh yeah…I got married and moved into our new apartment in Narberth. I’ll keep this short…he’s a few things I’ve been working on in school. Can’t wait for break so I can get started on some freelance stuff again. Below is two posters I did for a film festival for a project. The popcorn hand one still isn’t finished but the one below is pretty much done. Below the posters are some characters I made for playing cards for my version of Go Fish

It’s been forever since I’ve updated this thing. Not even sure when the last time was. So much has been happening in my life. All good stuff too. Me and my Fiancee’s visa was approved and she’ll be over here on the 13th. I took advantage of the cash for clunkers deal and bought a new Honda Fit. Started up at Tyler School of Art last week. Picked up and am almost finished a huge painting job. And etc. etc. etc. I can’t wait to be done that painting job so I can get back to what I love doing most. DESIGNING!
Below is a picture of this dope sculpture that I saw in Salzburg. It consists of pieces of type welded together to make up a human form that is sitting down

So I started working on the template for The 245 website. Above you will see a screen shot of it. I’ve already gotten some good feedback from other design folks that happened to be online when I was doing the site and with all the help and recommendations the page is sure to morph into something even better soon!
Always check my blog for frequent updates on what I’ve been working on. I make it a point to post stuff when i’m in the groove to keep me going so I can see my own progress.

Above is the Jai Yoga website template i’ve been working on. Its pretty much in the beginning stages but with some coffee and determination I should have it closer to where I want it sometime tonight…and hopefully where the client wants it. Working with all these clients lately has really opened up my eyes to being a designer. Sometimes when I think…”okay, this is it” the client will hate it. Before I would think they were wrong or stupid but now I take it as being a challenge. I love pushing myself. In the end, if the client is happy…then i’m happy.

Above is a screen shot of a site that I’ve been working on for the past 2 days or so. This Site is a redo. I’ve learned a lot about the importance of Search Enging Optimization (SEO) over the past year and called up an old client of mine and told him I wanted to redo his site for him. SEO is so important for small businesses. If no one can find you on google, chances are they may never find you. Yellow pages may or may not be a thing of the past so having a site that allows one to be searched is key. This site should be hosted in the next couple of days. Each and every job I’m learning more and more and falling more in love with what i’m hopefully going to be doing til I retire.

So Rob and I (The 245) have made the final touches to the schroonlakecycling.com website and it is now up and hosted. This project was a lot of fun to work on. It made me miss the Adirondacks a lot, and hopefully I’ll be able to attend the 1-eye classic in september with the wifey.

So I’ve been working with these cool “Yogies” lately. Its been cool designing something completely out of my realm. I’ve designed their website, which should be live in the next couple of weeks, as well as an awning (about – not finalized), and redesigned their logo. I guess the biggest challenge out of all of this was doing the logo. For me its so hard to take what someone has done, try to keep parts of it, and redo it. From now on I’m probably just going to tell people I’ll redo the whole logo instead of “tweak” it.
